Privacy notice
This notice is not yet complete.
What follows describes accurately what happens to the information you give us through the enquiry form on this website. The full notice - covering our registration as a data controller, how long we keep records and how to exercise your rights - is being finalised. If you would like any of that before you get in touch, please ask us and we will send it to you.
Who we are
Prime Time Child Contact Centre is the working name of Prime Time Charity. The data controller is Prime Time Charity, registered office Penhurst House, 352 Battersea Park Road, London SW11 3BY.
What the enquiry form collects
- Your name
- So we know who we are speaking to.
- Your email address and phone number
- At least one, so we can reply. You choose which we use.
- Which service you are asking about
- Or that you are not sure, which is a valid answer.
- Whether a local authority is paying
- This changes how a case is set up and who we invoice.
- How you came to us
- Whether you found us yourself or were referred, and by which organisation.
- Anything you choose to tell us about your situation
- A free-text box. It is optional, and you decide what goes in it.
Please do not put anything in the free-text box that you would not want a case worker to read. An enquiry is a first contact, not a confidential disclosure, and it is the wrong place for details about a child's safety - tell us on the phone instead, or call 999 if someone is in immediate danger.
Who can see it
Enquiries are readable only by our case workers and system administrators. Supervisors and other clients cannot see them, and that is enforced by the system rather than by policy alone.
When you submit the form we send you an acknowledgement, and we alert the staff who will pick your enquiry up. The acknowledgement deliberately does not repeat what you told us, in case the address was mistyped.
Our lawful basis
To be supplied by the charity: the lawful basis relied on for handling enquiries and, later, case records, and where special category data is involved.
How long we keep it
To be supplied by the charity: retention periods for enquiries that do not become cases, and for case records once a case is closed. The system does not currently delete anything automatically.
Your rights, and how to complain
To be supplied by the charity: how to ask for a copy of your information, how to ask for it to be corrected or erased, who to contact about data protection, and your right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
